Six cheese appellations are produced here, four of which benefit from the registered designation of origin (Beaufort, reblochon, abondance and chevrotin) and two from the protected geographical indication (tomme, emmental de Savoie).

Praz-sur-Arly was the first in France to pioneer the concept of school skying holidays in March of 1950. It still perpetuates this tradition today, which makes it a destination particularly suited for families.
